If I learn Adobe Flex & Actionscript will I learn JS automatically?

Hi, I am having trouble focusing on what language to learn next. I think Flex/AIR look fun and exciting. But I also see the power of javascript.

Javascript is different from Action Script that you will need when programming in Flex and AIR. However the syntax is very similar. So you wont learn it automatically but will have an easier time learning JS once you know Action script
